The Chicago Film Society returns with another edition of Celluloid Now, which will feature screenings and workshops celebrating contemporary analog film exhibition and artist filmmaking, projected entirely on film. The public is invited to watch screenings of 16mm films from around the world. The free festival, put on by the city of Chicago’s Cultural Affairs and Special Events Department, also partnered with Taste of Chicago Humboldt Park on Saturday, offering a wide variety of food options for festival-goers.

Chicago announces lineup for House Music Festival and Conference
Highlights include legendary house music producer Robert Owens and house musician Roy Davis Jr. The festival will also open in conjunction with The Taste of Chicago Humboldt Park, featuring over 20 local food vendors. The Chicago House Music Festival is a free event from the City of Chicago and Mayor’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events “celebrating the genre born in Chicago that has gone on to revolutionize dance music internationally.” More information is available at chicago.gov.
